Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Manau app and website (manau.com.np). By creating an account or using Manau, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Manau.

1. What Manau is

Manau is a marketplace that connects customers with independent local service providers in Nepal. Manau is not the provider of the services listed. Providers are independent third parties responsible for their own services. Manau provides the platform that helps you discover, request, book, chat, and pay.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Manau.
• You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time SMS code. Keep access to your number secure.
• You are responsible for the activity on your account and for the accuracy of the information you provide.

3. Bookings, quotes & payments

• A booking is an agreement between you and the provider. Prices, scope, and timing are set between the two of you.
• Payments are handled by third-party providers (eSewa, Khalti). A booking fee or commission may apply as shown at checkout.
• Cancellations, reschedules, and refunds follow the flow and rules shown in the app for that booking.

4. Provider responsibilities

If you offer services on Manau, you agree to provide accurate listings, hold any licenses or qualifications required by law, deliver services safely and lawfully, and honor confirmed bookings. Manau may review, verify, suspend, or remove listings and accounts.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law or facilitate illegal, unsafe, or fraudulent activity.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, or post false, harmful, or infringing content.
• Circumvent fees, scrape the platform, or interfere with its security or operation.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or services.

You can block and report other users from within the app. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Content you post

You keep ownership of content you post (listings, photos, reviews, messages). You grant Manau a license to host and display that content as needed to operate the service. You are responsible for content you post and confirm you have the rights to it.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app or at manau.com.np/delete-account. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

8. Disclaimers

Manau is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered by providers, or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. Your dealings with providers are at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Manau is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of providers or customers. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms; the updated version will be posted here with a new date, and continued use means you accept the changes. These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.
